When you set up email forwarding on your GoDaddy Office 365 account, you can have emails that are sent to your GoDaddy Office 365 account, sent to another email address as well. This can come in handy when transitioning from your existing email address into your new domain-based email address. For example, take Molly… she’s just getting her business up and running. She loves using her new email address to build her company brand, but she’s not yet in the habit of regularly checking
the inbox for her new account. To ensure she doesn’t miss any emails, she’s decided to temporarily forward the mail she receives in her GoDaddy Office 365 email account to her Gmail account. Here’s how… First, on your GoDaddy account page, access the Office 365 account log in screen [click]. Enter your information and click Log In [click]. On the Office 365 home page, click Mail [click]. In the upper-right corner, click the Settings icon [click] and select Options [click]. Under Mail, click Accounts [click] and then Forwarding [click]. Select Start Forwarding [click] and type the address that you want your email sent to. To keep track of emails sent to this inbox, it’s a good idea to select [click] the Keep a copy of forwarded messages option. If this option is not selected, email sent to this address will not display in your GoDaddy Office 365 inbox, and only the original email will be sent on to the address specified above. Don’t forget to save [click] your changes. Now, when Molly receives an email in her
domain-based GoDaddy Office 365 email account, it’s forwarded onto her Gmail account. And just to make sure she doesn’t lose track of any of her emails during her transition, she’s keeping a copy of all emails sent to the domain-based address.
