  1. the internet sites are 60% porn believe me ive cheeked up there is like 2million viewers each day on porno ^^ believe me THATS ALOT!

  2. I would have to say that the internet does not bring "peace", More so it was technology that you would expect to always expand and dominate just like a virus or cell a computer acts the same way, hence why i don't think its fair to vote for such a massive context… Its not really the best tool for peace, everyone is glued to a computer, that the "human or ethic" way of dealing with peace was never really a change for anyone, but rather just expanding the problems…

  3. @philly1537 show some respect, for people – with your shit hitting the fan, you will be the first to go and be extinct

  4. @runtubefantasy You don't think THE INTERNET IS FOR PEACE?! I'LL BREAK YOURRRR FAAACE!

    *just proving your point*

The internet is for people to use anonymity to pass off as more than they are. And to watch porn.

  5. I can only speak for myself, but the Internet has indeed made the world smaller to me and has made me feel like more of a global citizen. I think many people agree; I just think YouTube has a lot of negative people wanting to complain about anything.

  6. and fire should win the noble prize 4 chemistry
and give EARTH one for physics while your there
hey last time i checked, pencils never got the recognition for the contribution to literature

  8. is there only positive point attached in the Internet only? I think we can find bad points as well. It is really truth industry century gave us not only good results but also bad results, including the second world war. Hence, I'm not happy with the idea to recommended the Internet as a candidate of Nobel Prize 2010.

  9. I do not see why the internet should win. If anything, the anonymity it provides us helps spread HATE, which I have seen more of than any ol' "peace."

  10. "See the whole Harry Potter Deathly Hallows movie – link to movie is inside video called JUDAS HUNTER on youtube – brilliant!

Best Potter movie to date – enjoy!"

  11. the americans are trying to oppress the internet bcoz it's threatening their brainwash machine media propaganda domination, yes the internet is FOR PEACE

  12. I like the idea so fuck the lot of you whinging, whining, people that associate with hate. I fight it & advocate peace!
So if any of you pellet heads down below picking at this idea of the internet NOT being for peace, well it is pretty plain to see who else is helping it & what you think about.
The reason why you don't see this as a tool for peace is because you are not peaceful people!

  13. @NeutralExistence just replied to you…I think…im still a bit bewildered by all the options…if my reply to this message doesnt appear in your inbox I will recreate it. I think it takes courage to beleive in yourself for sure, and in the crazy hope that anything we might do right now will alleviate or save the world

  14. freedom, yes. (as well as anarchy in its borders.) but peace? no. 'internet' would be defintely too much a general term. Maybe 'web 2.0' would be a better candidate (everybody sharing information/media/experiences with everybody on the internet), but to whom would this prize go anyway?

  15. @MilitantPeaceist guarantee you wont see peace with palestine and isreal its almost over sorry but palestine is being stupid probly firing too many rockets.

  16. People don't act-on global problems on the internet, they only talk about and discuss them here. Nominating it for the Nobel Peace prize is a contentious and highly questionable matter, we need to talk and discuss this further.

  17. @benandbic but you have to admit, the internet allows for communication at a faster and more efficient rate than ever seen before both internationally and locally. That being said, if peace is ever to be achieved at a personal and communal level, the process with have been greatly sped up by the internet and all the wonderful instant communication and opinion publication it provides.

  18. No it cannot bring world peace I think, mainly because it's so fragmented, and most of those fragments (including the most popular ones) are various forms of entertainment and mindless drivel, not something that takes us closer to world peace. Most people love to spend their time on something that doesn't require them to think too much or deep.

  19. @magdelanye

Defiantly, the most important value any human has is collective interest, some other species have similar attributes, but most don't have the same emotional attraction towards helping their own. Thus why I believe it is contrary towards the very core instinctual values of all humans to hurt humankind in any way. Peace, and love towards humans is the only way to properly function as a species, and we are only doing ourselves harm with all this self directed hate.

  20. @RainStyle967 The amount of food that is able to be grown naturally limits population. If there are more people than there is food, people die. That is the way of Nature.

  21. @benandbic Underdeveloped countries don't have ways to tell what's a lie and what isn't Because of that it's easy to indoctrinate the people who don't have easy access to the information the internet has. Spread the internet to places in the middle east and you'll find that they will hate the states less. (The governments there are professionals at feeding the public anti-west propoganda.)

  22. the internet should do something to earn the nobel peace prize. im not saying i dont think this is a good idea i just thought this video was going to be about how to help advance peace through the internet.

  23. @RainStyle967 There is not enough food to last forever. The law of conservation of mass naturally limits the amount of life forms based on their total access to resources in a particular area.
There are many, many other reasons people die. One is the hoarding of water in certain parts of the world by the damming of bodies of water by the World Bank, with Suez and a couple other companies selling the water at a high price, too high for the masses.
    I am 24 years old.

  24. In ten years or so, most of the people on earth will be connected via internet at least for 5 hours a day. Undoubtedly the biggest human network ever created, and have power to spread peace much faster then any network (in comparison of various human networks), and this gonna happen soon, but till now, I have seen no big internet success in case of peace. I'll definitely gonna support INTERNET when it will practically help in peace. Keep up INTERNET, my be a years or two later.

  26. The internet should win the Nobel Prize?

WTF? I'm thinking with all the porn, KKK and terrorist web sites, and "file sharing" sites out there, the internet still needs a lot of work before it deserves a peace prize.

  27. @RainStyle967 No, not at the rate we *let* Corporations suck things that normally renew themselves dry and generally cause havoc. And you were the one who said it, not me. Don't put your words in my mouth.

  28. @CartCollector How about open-source? Community spirit.
Or what about those activists that collaborate using chat that is encrypted on one person's computer, sent through the Internet, and decrypted on the other's machine?

  29. @phaseone86 Those are the nasties present in society, and while the internet does connect them, the amount of people it connects in a positive way overshadows just about whatever those groups do. That is my belief.

  30. i know that internet can bring peace i love it and you my internet has the noble peace prize already in my eyes not only people thats depressed gets help on the internet but you can also pay bills online which helps save fuel some sites help build donations and fundraisers to help stop starveing kids and on facebook farmville they have a backpack which after getting out 1billion of them they will donate $200,000.00 towards a new school in hati which is awesome …

  31. Internet shoudl win the nobel prize. Just think about all the shit it does.
kkk(dot)com etc, and alot of other shit.

  32. Internet has definitely brought peace in some ways

#1 PORN. A man who isn't nutting enough is a man who will go on shooting sprees.
#2 INFORMATION. How does this bring peace? Well you might learn many answers for religion. Rain is not the work of god, neither is thunder or earthquakes. Religion = WAR. The more educated and less religious, the more peace.

  33. I think this is a great idea. Without the Internet, pretty much all of our world would fall apart. Now, to think about whom we give the prize to… Also, what is it with the religion-bashing in the comments? There are plenty of intelligent, peaceful, thoughtful, and religious people

  34. In the Net contacts it can be seen as „paper”, some people become violent, destroying others; Nobel prize for the Net, without representative values which can only exist according to peace and people who can/want to prefer good and peace; who brings peace, brings freedom goodness, order resulting from their own values; on the assumption that it could exist in prospect, it can always define some sort of completeness…

  35. The internet isa replica of the brain that every human already has. Internet is a physical reprsentation of telepathy. But I love it none the less. Very eye pleasing. Trust Truth, Live 2 Love, Learn 2 Laugh, Peace is coming! Hows your glass?

  36. peace and /which/ with every relationship/ It also determines The balance Of getting and giving And the internal values In/constans;/The ability./ ; also/ level of awareness /and/ understanding in surrounding; So in/out…/ authenticity ; /Net for peace with humanity.. from inside..

  37. Internet breaks down the censor barrier and shows live everything to everybody making people aware of what's happened in other countries.

  38. the video makes me cry – we are all the same in every conceivable way, regardless of creed, colour or any other differentiating factor. We all desire the same emotion to dominate our lives – happiness. I would give my salary for a year, ten years to know that a message such as this deeply affected even a few people.

  39. @bencalleja Your an idiot. You realize that many people of different races from different countries don`t even have the internet. So why don`t you give them the internet with all this money your willing to give away if you care so much.

  40. The internet is a terrible thing that has just caused access to anything whether it be unlawful or immoral for everyone, young and old alike. Thats just to try and sum it up.
