The directions in this video assume that you’ve already installed the necessary software patch for Microsoft Office 2010. The instructions in this video are specific to the email client, MS Outlook 2010 on the Windows 7 operating system. If you’re using a different version of
MS Outlook, Windows, or another desktop email client, please watch the video specific to your version or application. If you’re not sure which version of MS
Outlook you’re using, visit the Microsoft website noted in the description field below this video. You can always access your new GoDaddy Office 365 email account through any internet-connected browser, by logging into your webmail account. However, if you want to use your new
email account with the desktop client, MS Outlook 2010, there are a few setup steps you’ll need to do. Let’s get started! Open [click] the Start menu and select Control Panel [click]. In the top right search box, type mail [click] [typing]. Double-click Mail (32-bit) [click][click] . In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles [click] and then click Add [click]. Enter a name for the profile [typing] and click OK [click]. In the Add Account dialog box, enter [click] [typing] your first and last name. Type [click] [typing] in your GoDaddy Office 365 email address. If you see a name and email address already entered, click in the Email Address field and enter your Office 365 email address. This will enable you to fill in the rest of the fields. Enter the password [click] [typing] for your GoDaddy Office 365 email account and [typing] type it again just to make sure it’s right. Click Next and the configuration process [click] begins. To enable the auto discovery tool, click Allow [click]. If you see a Windows Security dialogue box display, make sure your GoDaddy Office 365 email address is correct [click] and [typing] enter your password. To store your username and
password in the Windows Credential Manager, select the Remember my credentials check box [click]. if you do not select this check box, you’ll be asked to enter your password each time you restart Outlook [click]. Congratulations! Your GoDaddy Office 365 email account is now configured for use with MS Outlook 2010. To exit the setup wizard, click Finish [click]. One last thing, now that you have more than one profile, you’ll need to let Outlook know which profile to access when you open it. You can choose to have Outlook [click] Prompt for a profile to be used each time it opens, or you can have Outlook open the same profile every time by choosing Always use this profile [click] and then selecting your preferred profile from the list click] [click]. Once you’ve made your selection, click OK [click]. That’s it! Just open your MS Outlook email client
and you’re good to go!
